Routes

Single and multi pitch

Seven days of hitting the gorgeous Dalmatian Coast, sailing right up to the most epic limestone crags on islands like Hvar, Vis, Brač and amazing pirate coastal town of Omiš. You’ll climb sun-warmed routes that are literally steps from the sea—no awful, long treks required—so all your energy goes into crushing the pitch! We’ll chase everything from easy slabs to serious 8b lines and iconic Deep Water Soloing where the only safe fall is into the turquoise Adriatic. After the action, we embrace the local pace of pomalo (take it easy), letting the famous Maestral wind effortlessly carry us to secluded, crystal-clear coves for the night. We finish the day anchoring in peaceful harbors, sharing fresh-caught dinners at authentic seaside taverns, and looking up at a sky full of stars—it’s the perfect, raw adventure that feels completely effortless and luxurious.

Marina Split
Welcome aboard! We meet up right in Split's harbor to get you settled and ready. Split is electric when the sun sets! We can stroll the lively Riva promenade or wander into the illuminated, ancient Diocletian’s Palace, which becomes the heart of the city's vibrant social scene after dark. It’s the perfect, energetic way to break the ice and kick off the week before we sail.Farewell & Departure (Saturday) All good things must come to an end! We'll disembark Saturday morning before 9:00 AM. You’ll be leaving totally energized, inspired by the routes you crushed, and full of incredible memories—ready for your next adventure (and probably already planning your return trip!).
Omiš — Pirate Town & Canyon Climbing
Once a pirate stronghold, Omiš is now a playground for adventurers. Towering limestone cliffs rise above the emerald Cetina River, offering sport routes with spectacular canyon views. After climbing, cool off with an optional rafting trip through the river’s rapids, 2100 meters long zip line!, or simply relax by the water. In the evening, we explore the charming old town — narrow alleys, seaside cafés, and a touch of pirate history.
Pokrivenik Bay
After breakfast, we sail toward Pokrivenik, a dramatic cove framed by white limestone walls. Routes here range from delicate slabs to powerful overhangs, making it a perfect challenge for every climber. It is perfect for climbers who want to climb all day, as it has morning and afternoon shade in 2 different sectors, both equally good! Post-session, take a dip in the clear blue water, where we’ll anchor for the night beneath a canopy of stars.
Vela Stiniva
Wake up to the sound of gentle waves and the scent of sea salt in the air. We start the day moving to Vela Stiniva Bay, home to some of the island’s best sport climbing. Limestone caves, sea-sculpted walls, and routes for all grades make this day a highlight of the trip. Same as in Pokrivenik, also here you find morning and afternoon sector.
Sveta Nedelja / Cliffbase
Today, we sail straight to Sveta Nedelja, home to Cliffbase, which is easily one of Croatia’s most iconic climbing areas! This is the legendary spot where the rock literally meets the sea, giving you zero approach to incredible bolted sport routes and even serious Deep Water Solo lines (DWS). It perfectly captures the spirit of Climb & Sail: wild, beautiful, and unforgettable. The reward is instant and unmatched—after topping out a pitch, your cool-down is simply jumping straight into the clear, turquoise Adriatic. And the harbor itself is outstanding! It's home to the Zlatan Otok winery, which is famous for its exceptional local wines and its truly unique underwater wine cellar—you can actually go below sea level to check it out, all while enjoying stunning views of the Adriatic. It’s a must-see.
Komiža on Vis island
Komiža, nestled deep in a bay on the western side of Vis, is a timeless fishing village where the stone houses are crowned with red-tiled roofs and the maritime history runs deep. Just nearby, you'll find the stunning Red Rocks —immense vertical cliffs stained a dramatic, vibrant red by iron oxide deposits, which create a breathtaking contrast against the deep cobalt sea. After climbing, we can explore the town’s ancient streets or enjoy the freshest seafood at one of the authentic, family-run konobas on the Riva.

HIGHLIGHTS

Croatia has a lot to offer besides only sport climbing. Take a peek into what waits for you.

Over 1000 islands in Croatia
Croatia is home to over 1,000 islands, each with its own rhythm, flavor, and charm. Some are tiny specks of rock and pine trees, others world-famous destinations like Hvar, Korčula, Vis, Brač, Šolta, Dugi Otok, and Krk. Sailing among them feels like moving through a living postcard — clear waters, white-stone villages, olive groves, and golden sunsets over the Adriatic.
Omiš
The story of Omiš runs deep. Once a real pirate haven, this small town hides at the mouth of the Cetina River, protected by steep limestone walls. Pirates used to sail upriver to vanish behind the mountains — and today, we climb those very cliffs! It’s one of Croatia’s most unique climbing settings: vertical walls overlooking the sea, with a sense of adventure and history that only Omiš can deliver.
Island Hvar - Climbing paradise in Adriatic
While most travelers know Hvar for its nightlife and Mediterranean glamour, climbers see a very different side: a limestone playground sculpted by the sea. We’ll visit some of the island’s most iconic crags — Pokrivenik, Vela Stiniva, Mala Stiniva, and Sveta Nedelja — each offering a mix of seaside sport routes, technical slabs, and deep-water solo lines. It’s an island that perfectly blends adventure, culture, and natural beauty.
Island Vis
Remote and rugged, Vis sits on the edge of the Adriatic — a quiet refuge with raw cliffs and hidden sea caves. Once a military island, it has kept its wild beauty intact. Anchoring near Komiža, you’ll feel the slow rhythm of real island life: small taverns, old stone houses, and incredible deep-water solo spots right off the coast.
Slow lifestyle
Croatians have mastered the art of taking it easy. Mornings usually start with a strong espresso and friendly chatter in small cafés, while afternoons drift into laughter over a cold beer or a glass of gemišt — a refreshing mix of white wine and sparkling water. Life here follows the rhythm of the sea: unhurried, simple, and sunlit. Locals live by the word polako — slowly, calmly, and without stress. It’s also one of the safest countries in Europe, where you can stroll along coastal promenades or wander through island towns late at night without worry. If you want to connect with locals, a few friendly words go a long way: say “Dobar dan” for good day, “Hvala” for thank you, “Ajde, bok!” for goodbye, or raise your glass with “Živjeli!” — cheers. You’ll always get a smile in return.
Food & Wine
The classics fish dish are sea bass, sea bream, calamari, and octopus — best enjoyed fresh from the grill. If you get the chance, try octopus "ispod peke" — slow-cooked for hours under an iron dome until it’s tender and full of flavor. If you prefer meat, you’ll love traditional čevapčiči served with flatbread, or a plate of roasted lamb cooked over open fire. To drink, there’s always good house wine. White Malvazija and Pošip pair beautifully with seafood, while the red Plavac Mali comes from sun-baked Dalmatian vineyards.

General info

With over 15 years of sailing experience and a decade of alpine and rock climbing adventures, we know how to craft a week that blends excitement, safety, and good vibes.
Every boat is captained by a certified professional skipper, and our itineraries are built on deep local knowledge — from the best climbing crags to hidden anchorages that most never find.

We keep things simple:
✨ Well-planned logistics and flexible daily rhythm
✨ Relaxed, friendly atmosphere — but always professional and safe
✨ International guests from around the world, many returning year after year

Whether you come solo or with friends, you’ll feel at home from day one.

Spending a week on a sailboat is something special — a mix of freedom, teamwork, and connection that’s hard to find anywhere else.

You’ll share a cabin (usually two per cabin) — we pair guests thoughtfully, often guys with guys and girls with girls. Space is limited, so pack light and skip the hard suitcases — a soft travel bag or large backpack is perfect.

Most boats have 3–4 shared toilets, which everyone uses equally. Keeping things clean and comfortable for all is part of the crew spirit.

We cook together and share every meal. On the first day, we shop for the week’s supplies — fresh fruit, local ingredients, coffee, bread, maybe even a bottle or two of local wine. Cooking and cleaning duties rotate naturally — teamwork makes everything smoother (and tastier!).

Boat life is about community. We help each other with ropes, dinghy rides, docking, and dinner.
Leave the ego on shore — bring curiosity, kindness, and a sense of humor.

Some evenings are for swimming under stars, others for long talks, music, or quiet time with a book.
No matter who you come with, you’ll leave with new friends and lifelong memories.

Each morning, you’ll wake up somewhere new — the boat anchored in a quiet bay or near a small coastal town.
After breakfast (think coffee, fruit, eggs, and maybe a morning swim), we take the dinghy to the crag.

You climb as much as you like — push yourself on new routes, or take a slower day to explore and relax.
Around midday, we return to the boat for lunch, then sail to the next destination. The afternoon is for swimming, resting, and soaking up the sea breeze before dinner.

Evenings are relaxed — music, good food, stories, maybe a bit of stargazing.
Every day is different, but each one carries that same rhythm of sea, stone, and freedom.

Each group is a mix of abilities, typically beginner to intermediate climbers (5a–6b).
What matters most is safety awareness and a team spirit — not grades.

We expect everyone to:

  • Know how to belay safely with a GriGri or similar device

  • Understand proper clipping and lowering techniques

  • Double-check your knots and your partner before every climb

  • Please keep in mind, you should be able to belay and lead climb on you own. This is not a IFMGA guided tour with mountain guide!

All our crags are well-bolted and maintained, but climbing always involves personal responsibility.
We’re here to share knowledge, ensure safety, and create the best possible experience — both on rock and at sea.

If the weather turns — thunderstorms, strong winds, or big waves — the skipper will adjust the route to ensure safety. This may occasionally reduce climbing time, but safety always comes first.

Please respect the schedule: if we say departure is at 3 PM, be ready 10 minutes earlier.
Being late affects the whole crew and can cause us to lose our marina or anchorage for the night.
Punctuality keeps the adventure running smoothly for everyone.

*Please keep in mind, you should be able to belay and lead climb on you own. This is not a IFMGA guided tour with mountain guide!

Reviews - What do others say about Climb and Sail?

❝The tour was just fantastic. The skipper Matic was super relaxed, adapted the tour flexibly to our wishes and was a very competent contact person the whole time. I liked everything about the tour and I would do it again at any time.❞ - Julia from Germany
❝I was so nervous about booking this trip and spending a week living on a catamaran with total strangers in a foreign country. But the Universe had my back – this turned out to be the trip of a lifetime, and I’m so glad I went through with it!  They say if you don’t take chances, you’ll never experience the best things in life. We boarded the boat as strangers and left as great friends. Boat life is something I’ll never forget – waking up on the mediteranian sea to beautiful sunrises, cooking together, laughing, climbing, swimming,  sailing into the sunset, and dancing under the stars laughing each night.❞ - Keren from USA
❝Matic was an incredible skipper and took really great care of everyone. Excellent planning and chill vibes throughout. Would love to do it again.❞ - Luke from USA
❝Matic ist wirklich ein entspannter Typ, er beherrscht das Segelboot & und gestaltet die Gruppendynamik angenehm und lustig.❞ - Florian from Austria
❝Great adventure with a lot of fun activities where we explored a lot of interesting places, did a lot of climbing and enjoyed our time on a boat. Big plus for managing to get some sailing done as well and huge thanks to the team for handling everything on board!❞ - Marko from Serbia
❝Had such a great time exploring the different climbing spots in Croatia. Matic was very knowledgeable about all the different areas and always gave us different options on what we wanted to do each day. Definitely recommend climb and sail and would do again!❞ - Jordana from USA
❝Rock Flow Festival had it all: daily climbing adventures that challenged and thrilled, sailing, sunsets that felt unreal, and a lively spark in the air that kept everyone buzzing. Burja tried to throw forks and knives around the boat, but the crew handled it like legends (long live duct tape). Skipper skills were next level (sails nearly kissed the sea on the way to Šolta). Nights under the stars, Dalmatian music in the background, and a hint of spice made every moment feel alive.❞ - Nives from Slovenia
Super Organisation, mega Stimmung. Würde ich sofort wieder machen! Danke Matic!❞ - Andreas from Germany
❝Klettern & Segeln in Kroatien, eine der genialsten Kombinationen die man machen kann! Hoffentlich wird es in Zukunft populärer & auch vermehrt angeboten.❞ - Florian from Austria
❝Fantastic! It was a great mix of climbing, exploring, hiking, swimming, chilling, and so many other activities. My highlights during this sailing trip were climbing Pedra Longa and the evening alone in Cala Goloritzé. Matic was a great guide and skipper, super knowledgable and safe while being fun and chill. I especially appreciated how he always had a well-communicated plan, but adapted the plan around how we were feeling in each moment. I look forward to sailing with Matic again!❞ - Kaitlin from USA
❝Sailing from Kos to Kalymnos was more than just a trip — it was a journey of connection, courage, and adventure. We spent our days climbing stunning limestone cliffs, swimming in turquoise water, and chasing the wind. Even when the weather tested us, our captain’s calm experience turned it into another adventure story worth telling. This was my second sail-and-climb with him, and each time, the bond between crew, climbers, and sea runs deeper. It’s a unique experience that leaves you changed — grounded, grateful, and already dreaming of Croatia next year. 🌊🧗‍♀️💫❞ - Keren from USA
❝Jumping into the sea before coffee is honestly the best way to start the day — nothing wakes you up quite like it. Every place we visited was stunning, with perfect beaches and warm, crystal-clear water that made it impossible not to dive in at every stop. The climbing in Kalymnos was incredible too; the rock there is something every climber should experience. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and next time I’m definitely bringing more of my diving gear. Already counting the days until the next trip.❞ - Luka from Slovenia
