Where It All Began
After years of climbing, I found myself unexpectedly falling in love with a new element: the sea.
It only took two trips with an experienced skipper friend before I was hooked. I decided to get my own license, rented a boat in Croatia with friends, and started exploring. But as a climber, I couldn’t stop looking at the cliffs. I started wondering: Why hike to the crag when we could sail right to the base?

Not long after, we launched the very first “Climb & Sail” trip in Croatia. It was humble—just a group of friends packed onto a small 34ft Oceanis—but that week ignited a spark that couldn’t be put out. That same year, I took the concept to Mallorca to combine Deep Water Soloing with sailing. It was pure magic.
By the next season, we had expanded to Sardinia and welcomed our first international crew from the USA and France. The project grew exponentially. The following summer I was working as a professional skipper for many charter agencies, guiding catamarans for guests from the UK and the US.
But the real turning point came when I partnered with Rok, a lifelong skipper with the salt of the sea in his veins. Together, we professionalized that initial spark into the global product you see today.
Our mission is simple: to pass on our local knowledge, our technical experience, and that same raw passion we felt on that first 34ft boat.

Why Sailing & Climbing?
Why stick to the same crag when you can wake up in a new one every day? Sailing lets us reach remote cliffs, secret sea caves, and untouched islands — the kind of places most climbers never get to.
One day you’re deep-water soloing at sunrise, the next you’re tying in at a world-class crag. In between, you’re swimming, sailing, laughing, and sharing stories under the stars. It’s the perfect blend of two worlds: wind and waves, chalk and rope. Pure freedom. Pure adventure.
From Idea to Adventure Company
Since that first holiday experiment, Climb & Sail has grown into a full-fledged adventure agency. We’ve sailed thousands of nautical miles, climbed on Europe’s most iconic islands, and welcomed guests from the USA, UK, Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Canada, and beyond.
Our crew combines years of professional skippering, alpine climbing leadership, and guiding experience. With this mix of skills, we know how to deliver both safety and stoke.

Skipper and alpinist
Experienced alpine climber who got in love with sailing. I passed Yachtmaster A and became professional skipper, specialized for groups of friends and families to give them a week of their life on the sea.
But soon I wanted to combine climbing and sailing with my friends, and the first trips in Croatia and Italy were born. Those trips then grew much bigger and are now a part of global story, known as Climb and Sail. You want to be a part of it? Let me know 🙂

I felt in love with sailing the moment I set foot on a boat. After getting my license, I became a professional skipper, focused on leading groups of friends and families through the best sailing Croatia has to offer—always aiming to give them the week of their lives.
Over time, these trips became more than just holidays. With the right energy on board, the boat turns into something special—a space for connection, freedom, and adventure. That’s what I aim to create every time I step on deck.

Jumping into the sea before coffee is honestly the best way to start the day — nothing wakes you up quite like it. Every place we visited was stunning, with perfect beaches and warm, crystal-clear water that made it impossible not to dive in at every stop. The climbing in Kalymnos was incredible too; the rock there is something every climber should experience. We spent our days climbing stunning limestone cliffs, swimming in turquoise water, and chasing the wind. Even when the weather tested us, our captain’s calm experience turned it into another adventure story worth telling. This was my second sail-and-climb with him, and each time, the bond between crew, climbers, and sea runs deeper. It’s a unique experience that leaves you changed — grounded, grateful, and already dreaming of Croatia next year.

Fantastic! It was a great mix of climbing, exploring, hiking, swimming, chilling, and so many other activities. My highlights during this sailing trip were climbing Pedra Longa and the evening alone in Cala Goloritzé. Matic was a great guide and skipper, super knowledgable and safe while being fun and chill. I especially appreciated how he always had a well-communicated plan, but adapted the plan around how we were feeling in each moment. I look forward to sailing with Matic again!

Rock Flow Festival had it all: daily climbing adventures that challenged and thrilled, sailing, sunsets that felt unreal, and a lively spark in the air that kept everyone buzzing. Burja tried to throw forks and knives around the boat, but the crew handled it like legends (long live duct tape). Skipper skills were next level (sails nearly kissed the sea on the way to Šolta). Nights under the stars, Dalmatian music in the background, and a hint of spice made every moment feel alive.
